When reality hits

In this five-part series, Genevieve Charles interviews a variety of students from the University of Virginia. Through these discussions, she explores the expectations that students have about campus Christian culture... and discovers what happens when those expectations are disrupted by reality.

UVA students LaNija, David, Flannery, and Olivia introduce themselves and share their personal stories of how they came to faith.

The students share their experience of finding their fellowship, their experiences of community, and what they’ve learned from their fellowship over the last few years. Fellow-shopping is explained and different UVA fellowships are dissected.

The students discuss their relationship with church and their way of finding a church home while balancing their community in their fellowship. P.S. doing church during COVID is weird.

Friendship as a Christian is a beautiful adventure. These students discuss their intentional living communities, practices they do, and things they’ve gained from their friends and homes. Grace is ~key~.

Dating is the hot topic for college student. Add in a spice called Christianity and you have one spicy concoction. A little survey of UVA Christian dating was taken and there’s much to be said on this subject. Enjoy!
